The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of City streets; street lighting, signage; traffic signals, street sweeping; storm drains and ponding basins; sewer, water, water conservation programs including water meters; wastewater treatment, solid waste pick up; recycling; and facility maintenance.
Our department of 81 employees is committed to providing the best service possible to the citizens of Madera and to ensure that public inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner.
