END OF WATCH

Since Madera’s foundation as a City in 1907, three patrol officers have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, serving and protecting our community. When an officer gives his or her life in the line of duty, fellow officers refer to the date of death as “End of Watch”, an endearing term that signifies the date as the last day of duty. These fallen brothers are forever immortalized as heroes to each successive generation of MPD patrol officers.
