Youth Sports

The Youth Sports Program has a variety of recreational programs designed to teach participants the fundamentals and strategy of sports but also, most importantly, sportsmanship. Participants experience a sense of teamwork promoting self-esteem regardless of their athletic skill level.  We offer youth sports programs starting at age 3.

There are several different youth sports programs that are available througout the year for children to play their favorite sports at the same time their heroes of the NFL, NBA, MLB, or NSL are playing!

Youth Basketball - girls

Youth Basketball Registration Form

Players are taught the basic fundamental skills of organized basketball. The program is designed to be fun and instructional for children without the pressure of competition.

The Youth Basketball League is open to Boys and Girls in 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th grades.

The Youth Basketball League registration will end on December 2, 2011.

The Youth Basketball League game play will begin on January 11, 2012 at the John W. Wells Youth Center.

Youth T-Ball Program

T-Ball Program Registration Form

T-ball is designed to be a fun sport where children are taught the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, and catching without the pressure of competition.

Boys and Girls between the ages 4 - 8 can register to play T-ball. Youngsters must be age 4 before May 1, 2011 and not turn 9 before May 1, 2011.

The 2011 T-ball season begins May 7, 2011 with practices starting in April. Games will be held on Saturdays at Lions Town & Country Park (corner of Howard Road and Schnoor Avenue).

The teams are currently being organized and parents should receive a call from the coach in April 2011.

Pitch, Hit & Run

Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is an exciting baseball/softball skills competition that provides boys and girls, ages 7 to 14, the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities. Compete for a chance to advance to the competition at the World Series!
