Adult Day Care

The Madera County Council on Aging is the Advisory Board for the Older Adult Services Division.

The Madera Adult Day Care & Respite Center provides a compassionate alternative to enable seniors to remain at home, and benefits all involved in the care of an elderly, frail dependent senior, victim pf stroke, Alzheimer's, dementia or for socially isolated seniors.  The Center provides a structured program that includes activities proven to improve the quality of life.

Adult Day Care & Respite Center

The "Caregiver" benefits through this program by having an affordable answer to in-home daytime care.  The services provided help to delay the institutionalization of a loved one and provides an opportunity for learning and problem solving.  Most of all, the "Caregiver" gets the much needed "break" that is vital when caring for a dependent elder.

Senior Fine Arts & Crafts

There are arts and crafts, exercise, and many other activities for older adults.

A suggested donation per day is $18.50.  A hot lunch is also offered at a cost of $2.00 per meal.  Donations to this program are gratefully appreciated.
