The Madera Police Officers’ Association is 67 members strong. The objective of this association shall be to assist in promoting the professionalism of the police service; to represent the members of the Association in all matters of wages, hours and conditions of employment; to encourage among the members a closer personal acquaintance and a friendly spirit of mutual cooperation; to encourage, contribute to and wherever possible, to assist in all matters pertaining to welfare and advancement of all members, of the Madera Police Officers Association.
The Madera Police Officers Association has long recognized the value of partnering with businesses, and members of the community to effect change. Absent Community support, the MPOA would be unable to participate in various community events. We pride ourselves in serving our community and making it a better place to live. The MPOA believes to accomplish this goal we must invest in our community. The investment is accomplished through community service and financial donations. The Madera Police Officers’ Association sponsors six youth athletic teams, pep and cheer teams, various food drive sponsorships, sponsorship of information booths for the public, promote resource materials to educate the community, sponsorship of youth programs, assistance to families in need / crisis, and assistance to the families of fallen Officers.
When the Community and the Madera Police Officers Association engage in a symbiotic relationship, the possibilities are endless and the results positive. Our community flourishes!
