Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Madera Police Department to provide the highest quality service possible to the city by the effective use of city-wide resources in its commitment to creating a safe environment for the community.
Madera Police Department Records Division
Madera Police Department Records Division is responsible for processing, distributing and maintaining all police reports written by the Madera Police Department. Over 40,000 reports are generated each year by Madera Police Officers. These include records of criminal cases, accident reports, traffic citations, impounded vehicles, and other reports for which records are maintained.
Record Staff
The records division is staffed by three records clerks and one supervisor. The supervisor oversees the division's daily operations. The records division also rely on Police Volunteers to assist in accomplishing the many tasks the division is responsible for.
Records Hours
The records office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed on the following holidays:
- New Years Day
- Martin Luther King’s Birthday
- Presidents Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans’ Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the Day After
- Christmas Eve (will close at noon
- Christmas Day
- New Years Eve (will close at noon)
