WHO ARE WE?

The Madera Police Volunteers are a team of highly trained citizens who enhance vital crime preventions services and community awareness through proactive law enforcement principles.

Members do not take enforcement action or make arrest. All suspicious activity is reported to the Madera Police Department.

WHY BECOME A MADERA POLICE VOLUNTEER?

THE MADERA POLICE DEPARMENT VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE TRAINING IN:

  • Orientation and Organization
  • Crime Prevention
  • Driver Awareness
  • Traffic Control
  • Radio Communications
  • Basic Report Writing
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Patrol Procedures


*Volunteers will also receive ride-a-longs with Police Officers as part of the training program.


POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

  • Assist with Administrative Duties
  • Volunteers helping Patrol
  • Investigations
  • Community Outreach


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Pass background check
  • Complete Volunteer Application
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • No Felony convictions
  • Citizen of the United States
